PETITION TO REMOVE BLM MARXIST CURRICULUM & TEACHER TRAINING FROM WCPSS

We support black Americans, not BLM, Antifa, or KKK. We support love thy neighbor as you would yourself. Every American should live in peace, and not fear a bad cop or Corrupt FBIagents

The cause is great but has been hijacked by extremist! Should be instilled in students by parents NOT taught in schools!!!

There is no room for divisive groups such as these in our school system. Supreme court actually just declared them a foreign entity with no rights to 1st Amendment. How dare you consider their material even appropriate for our children you should be ashamed of yourself and whoever proposed it should be immediately removed.

I am alarmed beyond words at the need for this petition, but not surprised. The forces behind the effort to infect our young people (BLM, Antifa and many other anti-American groups) have been preparing this "program" for some time. To wit, the NY Times' 1619 Project now being introduced in some NC schools was packaged and ready-to-go for this China/COVID-compromised semester. Now is the time to hear the alarm, Citizens of NC -- and to act!

This subject does not belong in our school curriculum. Add more detailed constitutional curriculum and geography to your curriculum before adding political views.

Abolish the Teachers Union and return to teaching curriculum that trains our future citizens the building blocks, Math, Science, English to prepare for higher level learning. Adding a curriculum into what is now being taught seems contrary to WCPSS requirements for teachers to use all instructional minutes toward current achievement standards . How does this curriculum correlate with standards to be met for grade advancement?
