Petition to remove bike lanes from arterial streets…enough of the insanity!

The bike lanes on Yonge st have ruined my business and are mostly used by uber eats delivery bikes.

Remove 90% of the bikelanes- the ccity should never have put them on main arterial streets or any street with a streetcar or entrance to a highway. They should never be where an emergencry department is and all roads changed for this must be returned back to prior road usage. The city of Toronto ruined the function of Toronto- it's an international joke of frustration.

Remove the bike lanes. They have and continue to cause increased traffic congestion on the main city arterial roadways.

No more bike lanes. Remove the ones slowly the city down. We already have enough street cars on Dundas, College, King, Queen. Now Ubers and more bike lanes. It’s too much. Move us forward stop living our travel system in the 80’s!

Given the high cost of living in Canada, it is not financially practical for me to use a car. I depend on Toronto’s cycling infrastructure for daily transportation. I’m fortunate to live on Bloor Street West, which has a dedicated cycle lane that provides a crucial measure of safety when getting around. If they were to be removed would significantly impact my lifestyle and put me and my loved ones at serious risk of death if we chose to cycle. Why does Doug Ford want to increase the likelihood that I could die while simply trying to get around? And there is no evidence this will reduce congestion which is driven by cars, not bikes.

Please no more bike lanes

Totally in favour of removing those insane bike lanes ! Get rid of them NOW

I wrote the Transportation Minister separately. I intimated earlier on in my discussions with KTM that it would have to be the Province who would intervene as the City was not recognizing their folly, instead doubling down on the madness.

The pro-bike-lane lobby at City Hall is a loud minority of childish, selfish ideologues. The bike lanes should be ripped up immediately. Thank you, Premier Ford and the various MPPs for stopping this non-sense at City Hall and listening to the majority of constituents.

Bike lanes should never have been put in and I support removing them.

We have to change the mentality at City Hall. Bike lanes have greatly increased congestion on the limited number of major feeder lanes of which Toronto has few compared to other major cities. Bikes for safety should travel on adjacent streets where less traffic and lower speeds

Even more dumb are bike lanes on Sheppard between Bayview and Wiillowdale. Traffic is bad and in 40 years, I cannot recall seeing a bicycle.

The bike lanes are not only congesting traffic and emergency vehicles but have greatly restricted parking for persons with disabilities like myself from accessing many locations, as I can't walk very far. I have been unable to go to many locations that I previously frequented. Also, sometimes the bikers drive by so fast that it is even dangerous. They do not take into account people that move slowly and are unsteady on their feet. The bike lanes the way they are set up now are discriminating against people like myself and needs to be changed.

About time something gets done about a very poor decision in the long run. Without considering all angles and not even taking into account at how many cyclists on any given day are out there. Look at all the pollution and grid lock that is caused for the least convenient mode of transportation for most ppl in this City.

Bike lanes are dangerous no bikes or vehicles have license plates. They are fast moving cause serious injuries and have no accountability. Very dangerous for our aging population and and are in front oh Hospitals. It’s unfair and will cause our Medical Centre to have patients ttatvwill cost OHIP and patients in need have longer wait times

It's dangerous having bike lanes along Broadview towards O'Connor Dr. I was on the bus and I swear that someone is going to get hurt, either by a vehicle or bus.

This should never have happened. All costs of removal should come out of JT's pocket!!! They are not to use the taxpayers funds for the removal of the bike lanes as we had no say in this!!!
