A vital service. Many Wyndham residents live on the outer reaches of civilization and next to water sources. Snake sightings and incursions are quite regular in the summer months.

If someone is bitten trying to remove a snake because they can't afford a snake catcher and is bitten the blood will be on the council hands. What are the council spending our rates on? There's snakes everywhere. Banks are bleeding people dry, rent is out of control . EVERYTHINGs gone up in price, people having to choose either to pay the rent or feed the family. And fat cats sit at the council offices and figure out how to save money and thats cut costs (which ultimately means that theyll cut services at the expense of the people who pay these A holes. This is how bad this council is. I lived on a dirt road cul-de-sac in Werribee, 2 blocks from the main street. I poured my driveway and council show up and demand i put in a crossover......Dirt road full of pot holes, no existing gutters, why???? 3 grand later. 6 months goes by and one morning I hear demo saw, excavator. Guess who. COUNCIL!!! All of a sudden decide after years neglect to put bitumen, gutters and a footpath. Just ripped up the "crossover" no warning just did it. Wonder where that 3k went. Disgusting.

The cost of living is sky high with the majority of citizens struggling just to keep their head above water, adding to this dilemma to remove a potentially fatal incident is ridiculous. Wyndham city council please reconsider your decision to stop funding the removal of deadly snakes from private properties to help ease the pressure on families finances. Thanking you

With extremely venomous ones around, we don’t want to live in fear. Council ought to keep the living expense in the council affordable for the residents here.

Good initiative. Just a week ago, I paid $250 to remove an Eastern brown snake from my adjacent lot, which is under construction. The snake came from the public road through the nature strip. The builder was not reachable.

We pay enough in rates. This should be an automatic free service instead of the wastage we have seen from the council

If the Council can afford private security for selected some, then they can afford a snake catcher. People and animals lives at risk
