Petition to reassign a new Principal to Dos Caminos Elementary

I hate this school now.

Estoy de acuerdo,hay muchos cambios q estan lejos de mejorar la escuela.

Where would you suggest putting our children? I believe the school is under construction??

I took my son out of Dos Caminos on the 3rd day of school due to the horrible direction the school was headed. The principal just doesn't care about the school/students she is just doing it for a paycheck. She has no love for the children or the school program. I am deeply saddened that my son will not be graduating from this program since my first 2 kids graduated from Los Amigos the same program. It was a great experience! It's sad the district brought a principal with no heart for the program or the students.. this program will not work without parental involvement and an awesome principal with the same vision and ability to work with the parents. It is sad!

Ever since Dr. Batista and Dr. Martin left, DC has gone down hill. Many things have change and many questions and concerns have not been answered nor addressed. DC needs a change indeed where we can be a DC family again and be involved in the decision making of our children's education, activities, and events.

No me gusta esta administración no cumple ni por de bajo de nuestras espectativas no hay comunicacion, organización,responsabilidad y así le puedo seguir y no acabo les pido por favor que hagan otros casting para escojer a otra principal muchas gracias de antemano.

People become complacent,change is good but what happens when that change leads you backwards.

Our school should be different from other schools since Dos Caminos is a school that was enrich with studies, culture, and activities. These program have work well with our school. Dos Caminos administrators, teachers, and parent use to work as one with one common goal and now the school is divided. I feel what change was the principal with a different view for the school. We are not satisfied.

Please get another principal.....

Why would I want my child at a "choice school" if it is ran worse than a standard public school. Open your eyes principal the students and parents were happy before you got there. Why fix it if its not broken.

This school has been through so much with the construction and moving back and forth. I like many others have tried to give the benefit of doubt and be patient. Our children deserve better.

We need a person that has a will to get involved in the teacher parent relation to improve the education of all our kids, not just someone who doesn't show any interest or care in the progress of the kids, teachers , and school as a whole.

Children's needs should always be considered first

Our young children can't focus on learning! When they have a short tempered frustrated irratated person as their role model ! When they are supposed to set the best example.

I agree with the statment. We need a person that is going to have an open communication with us the parents.

The after school program is so important for a safe place children can stay while their parents work. Reducing these programs are a hardship for students and parents.They have worked fine up until now and there is no reason for cutting them.

The office said boys and girls club is a separate entity on Dos Caminos campus, and they have nothing to do with it. The school used to collaborate with the boys and girls club. The only reason they "allowed" boys and girls club on the campus is because parents had already pre-paid. Treating The Boys and Girls Club enrichment like they are trash on the campus that needs to be removed is a cowardly act that will never be justified. The Dos Caminos culture is diminishing right in front of our eyes. We had such a unique atmosphere that was unmatched, and now we are left with an incorrigible principal.

At Dos Caminos we need a new principal immediately.

I was extremely excited when my daughter was selected to attend dos caminos for kindergarten last year. The majority of her first year could not have gone better. I really enjoyed the atmosphere that the previous principal created and the inclusion of parents was wonderful. When the administration changed, so did the atmosphere of the school, the parents are no longer a part of the decision making process. I, like all the rest of the parents depend on this administration to put my child's needs first and I don't feel that's whats happening anymore at dos caminos. I want to know that the person I am leaving in charge of my child for 7 hours a day, is constantly striving to create a place where my child can thrive and feel like her school leader and her parents work hand in hand in building her future. I would love the opportunity to discuss this concern further with the district.

Lo primordial es que nuestros pequeños tengan un desarrollo integral, no solo se trata de mandarlos a una escuela y que cumplan con requisitos academicos, es importante que tengan y se desarrollen en un ambiente armonioso y de confianza donde puedan sentirse libres y felices de participar, para eso tambien es importante tener la oportunidad como padre de poder involucrarnos, ayudar y apoyar a la escuela en el proceso de un buen desarrollo; y por lo contrario se siente un ambiente rigido, cortante en la comunicacion y cero motivacion en actividades que podrian ayudar a mi hija a tener un desarrollo y aprendizaje mas completo.
