Petition to RealtyLink LLC to Repair Retail Access Roads in Oak Ridge

To: RealtyLink LLC
Cc: City of Oak Ridge Officials, Local Media, and Concerned Business Owners
We, the undersigned residents, shoppers, and community stakeholders of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, are calling on RealtyLink LLC to take immediate and lasting action to repair the severely deteriorated access roads serving the shopping centers at Main Street, Rutgers Avenue, and Illinois Avenue.
These roads—under your ownership—are in disrepair and have remained dangerously neglected despite repeated public complaints and visible damage year after year.
The result is a serious and growing problem:
Thousands of dollars in annual vehicle damage to Oak Ridge residents.
Unsafe driving conditions and avoidable hazards.
Declining customer satisfaction and reduced business traffic.
Despite serving major national retailers and restaurants—including the full list below—these access roads are only patched reactively, not maintained proactively. This is unacceptable for a property owner profiting from our community's traffic and trust.
Businesses Subject to Boycott Until Repairs Are Completed:
Bank of America (with Drive-thru ATM)
Bealls
Belk
Buff City Soap
Chick-fil-A
Cinemark Tinseltown Oak Ridge
DICK’S Sporting Goods
Electronic Express
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers
GameStop
Golden Oak Buffet
IHOP
JCPenney
Old Navy
PetSmart
Red Lobster
Ross Dress for Less
T.J. Maxx
Taco Bell
The Spa Lounge Lash & Nail Studio
Walmart Supercenter
We demand the following:
1. Immediate, durable repairs to all damaged access roads under RealtyLink’s ownership in the identified area.
2. A year-round maintenance plan to prevent recurrence of unsafe conditions.
3. Public communication about planned repairs and your commitment to infrastructure safety.
Until these conditions are met, we will continue avoiding the businesses listed above—and will sustain public advocacy through letters to editors, social media campaigns, and direct outreach to business owners and civic leaders.
This is not a one-time complaint. It is a community-wide demand for safety, accountability, and respect.
We urge RealtyLink LLC to act now—before more damage is done to our roads, our vehicles, and our trust.
Sincerely,
Concerned Residents and Shoppers of Oak Ridge
