Petition to Protect Thriving Local Business 2A Tactical LLC from Unnecessary, Heavy-Handed Barrington Enforcement Actions
2A Tactical, LLC is a thriving, disabled veteran-owned local business operating on Tolend Road in Barrington. Since 2015, the company has grown at a tremendous rate, hired staff and served it's loyal and passionate customer base with pride and integrity.
Our growth and prosperity has blessed our employees, our families our customers and our community. We are expanding our operations by moving the business to a new, state-of-the-art 6,000 sq. ft. 2-floor facility on Calef Highway across from Stonehouse Bakery and Kozy's Pizza.
Despite overwhelming community support and support of our abutting neighbors, the Town of Barrington has threatened legal action against 2A Tactical, LLC stemming from violations to town 'Home Occupancy' rules. We've grown... and outgrown our location – we freely admit it. We simply need some time to continue operations while we build our new facility! We have been informed by the Select Board that the only relief possible is a temporary zoning variance that can be granted by the Barrington Zoning Board.
The ownership of 2A Tactical, LLC, and many employees, are residents of Barrington and we want to STAY IN BARRINGTON! We want to continue to serve our customer-base and the community, continue to be a good steward of our resources and grow this great local town asset!
On the Barrington Town website, The Town Administrator's Duties & Responsibilities are listed. Among them is “Encouraging economic development and establishing positive relationships with Town Officials, citizens, the school district, and the business community.” We are asking YOU, our fellow Barrington residents to POLITELY & RESPECTFULLY ENCOURAGE the Zoning Board to grant the variance which will eliminate the threatened $275 daily fine and other legal penalties, so the NEW FACILITY can be constructed and the shop moved.Thank You!
