If the art shop closed it would be awful. So many students rely on it and it makes the whole art faculty feel like a real community! It cannot go!

I relied on the art shop so much during my degree and especially in 3rd year! It needs to stay open as it such an essential thing for art students to have.

Sure close down the shop by all means, what does it matter that you may cause five or more courses to fail, it's not like that'd affect anyone's education or the University's reputation would it?

Most stupid idea ever, its a resource for all the creative arts, the fact that the que will be out the door again this Christmas coming upto deadlines shows the populairty of the store. Its like saying to the sports degree's sorry we are closing the gym and getting rid of the football fields. Makes no sense. This uni is cutting money anyway possible from the closing of stafford campus, getting rid of free anti virus, and previously the attempt to close the libary from 24/7. I really dont see where the money has gone from the upped tution fees from the jump and the year on year price increases. With all the bad press Staffs Uni is getting at the moment its not painting a pretty picture for new applicants and the general publics perception of the uni.

as a student studying Cartoon and Comic Arts the art shop is an invaluable local resource for supplies that are not only affordable but conveniently placed. The loss of this resource would be both a great inconvenience and a great shame to the local university community.

It's insane to shut an integral part of the art department - the shop makes life easier for students to do their work, especially near the end of semesters. For that reason alone it should be subsidised and kept open. Why not stop spending money on insanely over-produced reports for the management instead?
