The greater benefit for the greater number of our residents is to allow the park to remain for our general use. The benefit to the few who will enjoy the very worthwhile cultural offerings of the orchestra cannot outweigh the many who will continue to benefit from the park in so many different ways.

Please do not destroy our beautiful park. We need more green spaces in Sarasota. It would be a travesty!

Don’t take the only green space in downtown Sarasota. Save the wildlife that will be displaced. This will hurt tourism if you take the tennis courts.

Adults have more than enough things to do in Sarasota. The this away from the kids at your own peril. Would you rather have them doing drugs and turning tricks downtown. I hope they spray paint the hell out of the stupid orchastea if it gets built. Payne Park is a GEM

Payne Park is right around the corner from my house. My husband and I spend a lot of time there. I feel there are other areas that the theater could be built.

Don’t screw up this wonderful park. It is so beautiful. It needs nothing added to it. Not some building.

I feel strongly that Payne Park should remain a park for outdoor activities as intended by the Payne family. I use the tennis facility there and we are a real, thriving community, large in number; very happy with our location.
I am very fond of the orchestra and wish them luck finding a new home in Sarasota at one of the many sites available e.g. The Mall (Westfield) or Robards.

Great cities have lots of green parks downtown...there just gotta be some other place for music. How about buying up some of those run-down motels on 41? With a high rise parking lot?
