I’m a new resident to Sarasota as of 2016 and love to visit the park to see all the birds and turtles that live on and in the pond next to the tennis courts
I would be heartbroken to see it all change

Do not give away a jewel of greenspace .The orchestra has a freY spot w easy access . It could be enhanced where it now sits. Many such venues have water side views and access. Traffic could be reduced.

Private entities must not be allowed to take over publlic parks. The symphony should purchase private property for their private use.

I walk my dog at Payne Park a few times a week and see no need to be taking away any of the park’s green space. I heard you are even going to pave over the little pond that is always full of ducks and other birds right by the playground. I’m sure there are better places to build a theater that don’t require ruining one of Sarasotas busiest and nicest parks.

The old out parcel at Sarasota Square Mall that was a movie theater could be a great substitute.

Just discovered Payne Park few months ago. The most natural park in Sarasota. Feels local. Let’s keep it that way. No huge buildings or traffic. Save it for Main St and Bayfront! This is not the Oayne legacy.

There are other locations they can build on . this has become one of the last option for locals to enjoy with family . do not destroy yet another piece of history
