We have no time at all to do our homework, notes and even study for the exams. We did not have a proper vacation, we were told it was compulsory to attend the extra classes when the circular said it was optional. Yes new topics were taught on those classes which would not be repeated. Something must be done

This is regarding the PT1 exams which are going to be conducted for 10th graders on 23rd August.I understand the school's efforts in making the DISTANCE LEARNING more efficient for students. I also realize the importance of exams in such crucial education years,but that does not mean that students will keep giving exams without any break. As a concerned parent, I notice that my ward is always tense about exams and their results. Students were not given a proper spring break due to the BRIDGE CLASSES and now they weren't even given a proper summer break due to SUMMER HEADSTART PROGRAMME, I understand that this is the school's concern for finishing the portion but it would have been better if teachers had used this programme solely for proper revision and not for new portion, it was told that these classes would be optional but still new portions were taught. I don't want other students to be stressed about exams and therefore I request you to conduct the exams in September with Appropriate study leaves like the school usually provides.
Furthermore, the pandemic has struck all of our lives equally and has drastically changed our routine. Students keep sitting in front of their respective screens for long hours and study offline later on to cope with the school portions and on top of that, if exams of 80 marks are announced just 20 days before they start can be very stressful for kids and parents as well. IHS is a very diverse school and therefore it must respect the culture and festivals of all diversities. As you must be aware, from the 23rd August, Indian festival Ganesh Chaturathi is starting, amidst all of this how can the students be expected to focus on their studies and give exams without any study breaks in between the exams.
I as a parent requests you to understand and know the concerns of each parent and student and therefore we have filled this petition form which is attached with all responses in the mail id.

WE WANT THIS EXAM TO BE POSTPONED! WE NEED A BREAK WE NEED HOLIDAYS! WE HAVE ONLINE SCHOOL BACK TO BACK WHICH NOT OKAY!! ALL OTHER SCHOOLS HAVE HOLIDAYS BUT IHS IS STILL KEEPING EXTRA CLASSES FOR US... EVEN THOUGH THEY TOOK EXTRA CLASSES ON MARCH!! WE NEED A BREAK!!

We are under a lot of pressure and anxiety ,we arent even given holidays between our exams .we also havent received a proper Holiday since the beginning of 10th

Pls postpon the exams and give children some time to relax and also give children holidays as they have got maximum one week holiday since lockdown
