This came as a huge shock for families and the lack of communication and consultation is a big concern. I don't disagree with the idea but but don't feel it's being approached in a helpful way for anyone concerned. Surely a more phased approach - e.g. mixing for certain subjects or on certain days - would be preferable and less stressful for the children.

As a retired teacher, I find it really strange that children's classes would be changed at any stage in their young lives. They need their friends and familiarity of children around them!!

I don’t agree with mixing the 6th class sept 2023 as they will have a lot to deal with going into secondary.they have been with each other since the start.Looking at the letter going forward no other 6th class will be mixed seems unfair.

No consultation with parents at all. I am surprised how school was thinking to get away with it. Trust between school and parents is broken with this.

The lack of notice and the timing for 5th class students makes no sense and will lead to distress and upset among many students

Absolutely against this idea. Shocked that the school would even consider breaking up friendships after all those years of a class bonding together. The last 3yrs of primary education are so important. I would hate for any pupils to be negatively impacted at those stages in their primary education heading towards secondary schooling.

Communication and involving parents in changes of this magnitude is important, to help everyone understand that everyone is doing their best for the children, and also so everyone can understand the reason for it. Perhaps what will come of this is a hybrid mixing of the classes which may be best for everyone.

I don't agree with mixing of primary classes let them be kids. Plenty of time for them to mix with other kids in secondary school

Don’t think the 5th class should be mixed for the final year, why is this year be targeted when you don’t plan on doing this again in 5th class, no reasonable explanation for this

I am not totally against this but I need more information on how it has worked in other schools ... Feedback from other parents & children. I feel we have not received enough notice for it to go ahead in September

Please reverse this decision especially for the 5th class children who are almost finished primary school and have had so much disruption these past few years with the pandemic etc.. This decision was not ratified by all parties and the school need to take into account the negative effect and distress it has caused to a huge amount of the children by this unwarranted change.

It's not a good move forward the kids have been traumatised with the last few years with covid and forced to wear mask, been put in pods no mixing with friends etc... their mental health is very important after extreme measures that have been put on them. So this ridiculous idea that is now forced on the children is very dangerous and it needs to stop. And also the push on the RSE new sex program is grooming our children that is also been push that needs to STOP now
