PETITION to propose alternatives to the installation of a car park in River Valley Park.
Below are the details of carpark and all weather pitch Proposal for Rivervalley Swords. The idea of the petition is to find an alternative to a large car park taking up more public space which could happen in any Park. There are already car park spaces available in the area.
Three Alternatives for the Car Park.
1. A drop and go system similar to the departures area of the airport is one way.
2. Or an agreement to use the Lorettô Hockey pitch as a car park space for both school and park lands might be an alternative.
3. Space across from the Church or between the Church and Centre.
Alternatives for Car Park Space
Tennis Courts with outdoor bowling area which can couple with ALSAA as our population ages plus a skate board facility which can be graffitied keeping our walls clean. This can come with seated area on wheels which could also be moved and used for large Soccer and GAA games.
It seems the folio could be easily split as both projects are completely separate.
