Petition to oppose St. Mary's HUD housing on Main Street

We have recently purchased a property on Main Street for renovation as our future home. We made this decision because of the quiet, calm, and hometown feel with hope of participating in the revitalization. This would significantly impact our decision as the project would change the structure of the downtown and directly impact key features such as the park and bike path. Please consider an alternate location.

This would not serve our community well! We do not have the population to support this kind of housing.

This project will contribute to the deterioration of community life in Cedarville.

Not safe to add to traffic there. Will be too congested for a state route. The initial "luxury" apartment pitch was bait and switch.

My main concern is traffic safety on the state route; added car traffic will not be safe for kids walking to the library, biking families and individuals, students driving, or even older new residents. In order for that to be safer you'd need a traffic light which would be a burdensome cost on Cedarville. I agree it will conflict with revitalizing Cedarville.

Planning to attend to voice my disapproval.

I feel that this piece of property should be joined to the park. Put some picnic tables in. Some benches, etc.

My family does not want this proposal to pass.

I am a Cedarville resident going on six years. We already faced significant parking issues with the ever increasing population of CU students. We have personally experienced a handful of plumbing issues in our home (located less than a 1m walk from the proposed development site) and cannot imagine the issues that would follow a massive construction project that will place further strain on our villages plumbing. We welcome new members into our community, but this proposed (and rather large!) development to accommodate them will decrease quality of life for those who currently call Cedarville home in several ways.

Too many unknown factors.

Please keep this village safe. There are so many students and children in Cedarville and the village simply lacks the recourses necessary to support this type of development.

The proposed senior living facility is a terrible idea. The town lacks the resources needed to support such a facility and the individuals behind the project are breaking or manipulating several ordinances to get it pushed through despite very negative feedback from the the community

As a local since birth, this would not be a plus for our town. Truly, cedarville does not need MORE low income people and families moving in. An increase of crime and break ins will become more prevalent. Towns people DO NOT WANT THIS!

I live across the street from where this will be. There will not be enough parking! We already don’t have enough for the residence that live here.

I agree with everything in this petition. Additionally, my understanding is this housing will not provide homes for many people in our community but will only attract people from outside our community.

We don’t need this in our town
