Petition to Oppose Quickchek Gas Station & Convenience Store

Who want a gas station next to their community ?. We already have 4 gas stations in a span of 2 miles on either side of the proposed site. The impact of this on the community is huge. a) Drop in house value b) Noise and Light pollution c) Oil seepage into the ground d) Such sites attract lot of unwanted activity around it

I strongly oppose

I oppose building the Quickcheck, as it has the potential to decrease home. Additionally, we do not want the added noise or potential extra traffic this new business would cause. We are VERY opposed to the Quickcheck being built.

As others have pointed out, this is a quality of life issue. We vehemently oppose the Quickchek Gas Station and Convenience Store.

I am opposed to anything that may pose a potential danger to our community. Should a 24 hour Quick Check be constructed as proposed, there is the potential for excessive amounts of people driving or walking through our community at all times of the day/night. I think most everyone living in The Grand at Crystal Lake feel that our families, especially our children, come first. I would hate to take away the freedom of my children walking or riding their bikes to a friend's house. I would also hate to lose the freedom we have as a family to ride our bikes or walk our dog up and down the streets of our community for fear of an outsiders speeding down our streets. We have a nice, safe, happy community here, which isn't always easy to come by. .Please allow us to preserve the friendly community we have at The Grand at Crystal Lake.

I don't want this to be built because it is directly behind my house. Not only will it cause more bad traffic it puts my house and the other houses at danger because people can now just walk through my backyard from across the highway rt 130. This is going to attract the wrong kind of people since it is 24 hours and I don't want that behind my house.

This developement was "pitched" to our community as an upscale waterfront community with high rent tenants and also senior housing with quaint shopps on the first level. This Quickcheck was not part of the original plans and will certainly bring this "upscale project" on the waterfront, that we could be proud of, down to a welcome mat for the following:
