We all know that Junior year is very stressful, and even more stressful if you go to Concord Carlisle High School. As some of us know, and at one point most of us will know, Driving to school is almost like a test, you need to learn the perfect time to arrive just so you can get a spot on the hill. Or else you are left with the decision of walking from Laurel, which for some is not that bad, but for most is a hard thing to do at 7am. This year many have gotten illegal parking tickets and few have gotten towed, and we believe that this is ridiculous and needs to stop. The old senior/ teacher lot is just sitting there and nothing is being done with it. We understand that there are asbestos and there is the pavement law in Concord, but our school was infiltrated with asbesto for 20+ years, and they haven't removed the pavement yet so we should be able to park there for the time being. And if pavement is such a big deal we can all come up with an alternative like grass and or gravel. For example in 2015 they even discussed putting in a gravel lot for Juniors, but the idea was soon dismissed and not reopened thus far. Junior year is what some say to be “the most important part of your high school career” and like said we already have an abundance of stress and getting to school at 6:30 am to get a spot is such unwanted stress. Sign this petition in attempt to open the lot, and attempt to reduce our stress and sleep deprivation.

And for non Juniors at CCHS, you have either been through this year already, or you have yet to encompass the challenges we all are facing. This is for all of us. For seniors who can never find a spot because juniors are parking in the lot, and for sophomore and freshmen who will be in our place in the years to come. This will be a great advantage to all of us if the lot is opened.
