The deer population in this area is as high as I’ve ever seen. It don’t really understand why this is going on.

I am a resident hunter in WMU 84 and I would support a shotgun (slug only) deer season.

I’m a landowner who also has seen a drop in deer numbers since a severe winter a few years ago I would be for a controlled hunt as long as we can still hunt with rifles I have hunted shotgun season only hunts in the past and I realize that shotguns have improved so much that to eliminate rifles would be senseless I also agree on a reduction of doe tags

One observation, I noticed a very heavy decline in the deer population on the very south edge of WMU84 as far back as 6-7 years. And along with the decline was the increase of corporate farms clearing, treed fence lines , filling in of swales and heavy drainage and using the Ash bore as an excuse to push back bush land and in some cases levelling existing ones of several acres. I think this has a large impact on the deer movement as most places I am thinking of as I write this no longer have any deer and before it was a given to see some any time of year

Any or all of the proposed ideas sound good to me. Certainly has been a decline in population.

We to bring back the plastic tags. I think paper tags is contributing to the deer decline And stiffer fines for poached deer

I support options to increase deer population as I to have noticed dramatic drops in deer populations and miss the quality experience I used to enjoy in WMU 84

As a concerned born and raised in wmu 84, as well as a returning hunter to 84 in 2023, I agree a controlled hunt similar to 85 is required
