The issue of college students not being given equal rights to those in university in accordance to bus passes, and their prices. Also we are concerned with the new age restrictions in place as many students (in University and Colleges’ alike) are not working, or making enough money, during the educational year and cannot afford the adult fee on bus passes.
We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to include colleges’ in your university student deals and fares (i.e. UPass which does not have an age restriction), to change the age restriction of the discounted passes to a higher age, and to also encourage a more green thinking transportation idea that does not prevent students from taking the bus and force them to use cars to get to their school.
