Clear Fork Superintendent Janice Wycoff has failed the community which she was hired to serve. The Clear Fork Valley Local School district comprises of Bellville and Butler Villages, as well as several townships in the southern portion of Richland County. With a student population of approximately 1,800 students there is ever present need for the superintendent to be actively involved in the community.

The Clear Fork Valley Local School District and community [hereinafter referred to as the Valley], also expect their superintendent to be engaged in teacher development, coaching, and retention.

Specifically, when it comes to retention, she is not directly involved in coming up with a teacher improvement plan, nor does she provide faculty with the adequate due process before recommending termination.

Further, the Valley expects a welcoming work environment. The Valley prides itself on community and working together for a communal good. However, with the tenure of Janice that has not been the case. She has created a toxic work environment wherein she has chased away several capable educators and discouraged the involvement of parents. As a direct result of her actions teachers and parents are leaving the district.

While, the Valley does not wish to resort to such an extreme measure it is warranted in this instant matter because the superintendent has failed to be an instructional leader helps the district reach the high standard levels of teaching which these children of the Valley deserve. She has failed to be a collaborative leader who maintains strong relationships with the staff and community.

During her tenure, there has been a failure to create organic high-quality experiences within the Valley so that students have meaningful experiences and choices in their educational experiences which adequately prepare them for their future. This incompetence robs them of an otherwise meaningful education.

Consequently, it as a result of the foregoing, that we as the undersigned, with heavy hearts, must ask that Janice Wyckoff, Clear Superintendent, be non-renewed.
