Our roads should be safe.

My son and daughter were T-boned and they both nearly died. This intersection is dangerous! I fully support actions to determine how to improve safety.

People are rushing to the freeway while approaching one of the worst intersections in the state. They need help to avoid running into one another.

Two car accident on Falconbridge side of NC 54 just two days ago. Traffic backed up from I-40 to beyond Friday Center. One of the many frequent accidents. Improvements way overdue.

We would be so grateful if you would please remedy this dangerous situation. It feels frightening to slow down to turn into the Falconbridge subdivision, not knowing if the driver behind me is paying attention. I have already been in a car accident near this intersection, caused by a driver who admitted that he didn't see me. Thank you so much for your help in this important matter.

I imagine that the causes are tired people in a hurry checking phones. Hopefully, your department experts can implement steps to greater safety. Thank you.

Definitely an issue. I hear an accident at this intersection almost once a week. Some sound pretty bad.

A left hand arrow turn signal might help.

My son is a new driver and his cello lesson location is right at this intersection!

My sister lives at Falconbridge and I am always worried when I come to see her, that I may not make it through that intersection!

I live at the end of Paddington Pl. and hear these crashes on a regular basis (at least weekly if not more often). In fact, two of my students (I teach music at my townhome) got into a serious crash at that light about three years ago. If one of them hadn't chosen to sit in the back seat, but had sat in the front beside her brother who was driving, she could have been seriously injured, if not worse. She has been in therapy ever since and stopped coming to see me for cello lessons ever since, because of PTSD. I now warn all of my students and their parents about that intersection. (It's very worrisome because some of them are just about to get their licenses.) Once I was standing outside talking to a neighbor when there was a collision and we could hear driving moaning in pain. Please, please, please do something.

Dangerous intersection. Please help.

The intersection in question is less than 500 feet from my front door. It is tragic that we hear the sounds of metal screeching so often. Please help make this a safer community for all.

We also have concerns about the Westbound lanes of NC 54 at the intersection with Huntingridge Rd, and the blinding light of sunset (dead ahead in the right season) which has caused a number of accidents. It becomes impossible to see a RED LIGHT!

I, too, am concerned about the increasingly heavy traffic around the perimeter of the Falconbridge neighborhood.

I was involved in an accident at Hwy 54 and Huntingridge Rd. in 2006 because of backed-up traffic. Since then, I always use the service road at the light to get into Falconridge, as the traffic is virtually always backed-up with traffic heading into and out of Chapel Hill.

I have lived in Falconbridge for 4 and a half years..when coming home on 54 (towards 40) I have witnessed accidents at least 2-3 times a month, which slows down the traffic greatly...Finally, last August, I was hit from behind by 2 cars....when the officer came, I asked her why they dont do something about this area and she said she didnt know, and that there are called to accidents in this area...took me 8 months, by the way, for the insurance companies to settle. When wet and cold, one can see all the tread marks in the grass and mud on the side of the road..Something must be done....
