Petition to Name Henry Domercant New National Team Head Coach!

Henry Domercant, former member of the Bosnia and Herzigovnia (BIH) National team from 2005-2011 expressed interest in coaching the National Team of BiH. In a recent interview with NBA reporter and Bosnian native Darko Dzeletovic Coach Domercant said that he was willing to coach the BiH NT in any capacity and even said he would be willing to do so for free!

Considering the abysmal current situation within KSBiH under Aid Berbic who has brought shame to the current team by refusing to give bonuses for getting out of the Group Stages and into the round of 16 last month. Since then Adis Beciragic resigned after the tournament and Mr. Berbic has refused to name a new coach. He has also gotten into public disputes with star NBA player Jusuf Nurkic who has demanded accountability and more clarity into the operations within the team.

Coach Domercant would instill such clarity and professionalism and bring both an insider and outsider perspective to the team. He also would bring much needed access to the NBA as Domercant is a current Assistant Coach of the 6 time NBA champion Chicago Bulls. Coach Domercant had a long and storied International basketball career as player and even earned 2nd team all Euroleague in 2012 and played for such storied teams as Efes Pilsen, Olympiacos among many other European powerhouses.

Since then he has coached in the G-League with the Celtics affiliate Maine Red Claws and as head coach of the Windy City Bulls. He is now an assistant coach under the Hall of Fame Chicago Bulls coach Billy Donovan who learned under the legendary Rick Pitino.

Given the dire situation within KSBiH and Coach Domercants willingness and connection both to KSBiH and the NBA we feel under the current circumstances he would be the ideal next coach of the Bosnian Mens National Team.

Henry Domercant, bivši član reprezentacije Bosne i Hercegovine (BIH) od 2005. do 2011. godine, izrazio je interes za treniranje reprezentacije BiH. U nedavnom intervjuu s NBA novinarom i bosanskim državljaninom Darkom Dželetovićem, trener Domercant je rekao da je spreman trenirati reprezentaciju BiH u bilo kojem svojstvu, pa čak i da bi to bio spreman učiniti besplatno!

Uzimajući u obzir užasnu trenutnu situaciju unutar KSBIH pod vodstvom Aida Berbića, koji je osramotio sadašnji tim odbijajući dati bonuse za prolazak iz grupne faze i ulazak u osminu finala prošlog mjeseca, Adis Bećiragić je od tada podnio ostavku nakon turnira, a gospodin Berbić je odbio imenovati novog trenera. Također se javno sukobljavao sa zvijezdom NBA lige Jusufom Nurkićem, koji je zahtijevao odgovornost i više jasnoće u radu unutar tima.

Trener Domercant bi usadio takvu jasnoću i profesionalnost i donio bi i insajderski i autsajderski pogled u tim. Također bi donio prijeko potreban pristup NBA ligi, budući da je Domercant trenutno pomoćni trener šestostrukog NBA prvaka Chicago Bullsa. Trener Domercant imao je dugu i bogatu međunarodnu košarkašku karijeru kao igrač, pa je čak i izborio mjesto u drugom timu Eurolige 2012. godine, igrajući za legendarne timove poput Efes Pilsena, Olympiacosa i mnogih drugih evropskih velikana.

Od tada je trenirao u G-ligi s Maine Red Clawsom, članom Celticsa, te kao glavni trener Windy City Bullsa. Sada je pomoćni trener pod vodstvom Billyja Donovana, člana Kuće slavnih Chicago Bullsa, koji je učio od legendarnog Ricka Pitina.

S obzirom na tešku situaciju unutar KSBIH i Domercantovu spremnost i povezanost sa KSBIH i NBA ligom, smatramo da bi u trenutnim okolnostima on bio idealan sljedeći trener muške reprezentacije Bosne i Hercegovine.
