The Ministry has officially confirmed that the university will be established at the site identified through technical evaluation. I am grateful to everyone who insisted that professional standards remain the priority over political influence. We will observe the upcoming construction phase to ensure the official plans proceed as promised.

Final supporters
We, the undersigned, petition the Uganda's Minister of Education and Sports to locate the public university in Bunyoro at a site that is the most suitable as per technical evaluations. We are aware of the following:
- Key stakeholders proposed pieces of land on which government can construct a public university in Bunyoro. At least eight sites were duly presented to the University Establishment Committee.
- The many (8+) sites were subjected to suitability tests and the best sites were derived following technical parameters.
- The best site that was identified needs the host community's endorsement a process a few politicians have hijacked to favor a different site.
We decry of any political interference, influence peddling and a risk of public funds to be wasted on a non viable site.
We call up on the Uganda's Minister of Education and Sports to implement what has been technically approved and disregard unnecessary political interference.

The technical reports regarding the most suitable site for the university remain clear and supported by objective data. We must ensure that the established criteria guide the final decision rather than the personal interests of those attempting to bypass the assessment process.

The growing momentum behind this initiative proves that the public values technical merit over political convenience. It is heartening to see such a strong collective call for the selection of an objectively suitable site for our university.

Following the technical report is the only way forward. some of our leaders are just confusing the people for nothing.
so tired of selfish leaders hijacking progress. listen to the experts and get us that university already.
WE NEED THIS UNIVERSITY! stop bringing politics into education. the technical evaluation is there for a reason so just follow it.
my kids need this school. please just build it on the right site and ignore the people trying to move it for their own gain.
It's logically right to support the location that's deemed to be technically suitable for the establishment of Bunyoro University. Let's all support the technical process that's aimed at actualizing BU and shun petty politics that's being played by a few selfish local politicians.
