Petition To Limit the Gaston County Senior Games to County Residents

We the undersigned petition that the Gaston County Senior Games would be limited to participants residing in Gaston County with these three exceptions:

1. Seniors who reside in a county where the county does NOT offer the event in which they wish to participate AND/OR

2. Team sports (involving more than 5 members) which are unable to find enough seniors residing in Gaston County but would be able to compete by filling their positions via other counties AND/OR

3. Steering Committee members who have been serving Gaston County in that capacity for more than 15 years shall be exempt from this rule.

We request that these criteria be used for future senior games in Gaston County and that this be verified on the application each year by requiring a copy of participants photo IDs.
