Receiving on the tongue is the only way I have ever done it and I will not be forced to change my practice because of some arbitrary rule. This is just wrong.

I think this is an overreach and the Church acquiescing to the Government, not thinking about what the CHURCH offers us. Suicides are up, domestic abuse is up -- WE NEED the Sacraments the way they were meant to be taken. Please let those priests that want to deliver the Eucharist on the tongue do it in their safe way. Hands are dirty and have touched the pews, etc. There's no way to not touch the hands of communicants by the Priest. My priest never touches my tongue when I receive. To me, this is much much safer. God Bless you and our Beautiful Church and Faith.

During the plague of Milan, St. Charles Boromeo St. Charles went nearly every day to the leper house to give the Sacraments to the suffering. He baptized newborns and gave last rights to the dying. I sincerely believe that only an ordained priest has the right to put his hands on the precious body and blood of my Lord and Savior. His hands are anointed at his ordination for that purpose.

We all have a tremendous responsibility to Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament to receive Him in reverence. We desire to receive Him on the tongue out of humility. Many of us even feel conscience-bound to receive this way, and are thus unable to receive the Eucharist otherwise. Praying for our Church and her leaders!

The One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church is based on Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8.
The One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Faith and practice of the Church is NOT subject to abrogation by Popes, Cardinals, Archbishops, Bishops, Priests, Deacons or Laity.
The right of all Catholics not under sanction to receive Holy Communion on the tongue cannot licitly be removed by any Bishop or Priest.
Of course, practically it can, and this has just happened to me within the last couple of hours.
Clergy who withhold Sacraments from the faithful illicitly will answer for this to the Lord on their day of judgement.
The Truth is that Holy Communion on the tongue, correctly administered and received, is medically MORE hygienic and SAFER than Holy Communion administered to and received in the hand.

Shame many bishops have to be reminded they don't have the authority to forbid communion on the tongue.
