I understand you are new at your job and want to make things safer/more fun for everyone. But you can’t just come in with Guns blazing, barking orders, and change the entire face of sorority recruitment as we know it. There are systems in place, and protocols people follow that get everyone excited for Greek life here are UNCW. Sorority bid day at UNCW Is one of the greatest things Greek people know. Please just give this a try, see how fun it is, and watch the greatness and happiness that emerges from the event that takes place on hoggard lawn.

As the President of Alpha Tau Omega on campus I refuse to let this happen. These girls deserve to have their voices heard and they deserve to have their traditions upheld. To tell my fraternity that we cannot support the sororities on bid day is a slap in the face that is completely unjust. Greek life has taught me how to be a great leader and how to be a representation of the brothers I serve in my exec position. Right now UNCW is blatantly disregarding the voice of the students that they serve and is in no way showing support or respect to the sorority women I have come to love on this campus.

It's the one time all of greek life gets together all year, i think that this is a UNCW tradition that is iconic.

If it’s out on the court the girls are still gonna run at each other and there’s a greater risk of injury.
