This is indeed disgraceful. Being a longtime fan of all manner of horror, sci-fi, and fantasy films, I had some of the greatest discussions on IMDb and shared a lot of obscure movie info rarely available. What a terrible choice...

I was stunned to find the boards gone.It was often my only way to get ideas on a how or why of a movie and on the odd occassion when I missed a portion of it,,,someone could always help fill me in.If there ARE trolls...they seem to be ignored well enough that they disappear and if not..most people are simply not interested in rolling in the mud with them so they have never destroyed any comment sections.Rethink this.It was the oNLY reason I ever bothered with this site...the info I needed was always there..someone always had it.

Please bring them back :( I find myself going to use them often only to sadly remember they're gone. It was nice to see if other people were thinking/ interpreting a movie or show like you. Yes, there were many trolls. But for the people that used it right... it was a privilege and I'm sad.

IMDB's message board was the only real reason to visit the page. The technical information about movies can be obtained from any other similar source.

It's the main reason I go to IMDB after watching a movie. Please bring back the message boards otherwise I will have to look elsewhere to get a sense of public sentiment

There is little value in IMDb without messageboards. Argument on people commenting in social networks it is just ridicilous - those comments are useful, mostly just pointless without any real discussions.

I enjoyed coming to the imdb message boards most nights whilst watching a film or after a film or tv series and seeing if others had the same views as myself or have new views that I didn't see on the movie and theories, definitely a huge mistake taking down the boards and I think many people will feel the same at how bad a decision it was to remove them from us!

Imdb sucks without the boards. Wtf? Theres no way to have indepth discussions about the films in other platforms. Has imdb lost their mind? The boards are what cause users to RETURN to the site, hence they are crucial for viewer RETENTION! Duh! We need platforms where we can participate. Thats what brings us back. Its a no brainer. Just put ads on the forum if you need to monetize it IMDb.
