Petition to keep the IMDB messageboards going

The IMDB messageboards are a main form of information and communication for me! Without them I doubt I will rarely visit this site anymore.

The IMDB board is one of a kind and needs to be saved - Facebook and Twitter are no substitute!!

Will be sad to see the forums go. I have visited them daily for many years and have discovered many many films from recommendations from users. I would rather read every day peoples opinions of movies than actual movie critics trying to sound clever. The good people far outweigh the bad and closing the boards will be a very sad loss and also a major win for Internet trolls who are easily ignored. I will honestly rarely use the site anymore if the forums close.

Keep the messageboards alive!

Closing the forum is like closing the curtains in a cinema.

I use the message boards on imdb to help me discuss and clarify my questions about a movie. I dont like to do so on social media like twitter or facebook.

The board also makes it Better for many users...

Please keep the IMDB message boards! It's the main reason I go to IMDB at all.

PLEASE, do NOT get rid of the IMDB message boards! I understand trolling is an issue on certain IMDB boards, but which online message board doesn't fight the issue of trolling to some extent? But I can say for a fact that at least The Simpsons(1989) board has been a great board with almost no trolling, and you'd be ripping away forever a great board where we all get along together very well, and have great discussions about Simpsons! In the future, I'd like the message boards here to allow one to set the default setting at nest for all boards, and that I'd also volunteer to be a moderator on IMDB's boards, if necessary. PLEASE, don't let the issue of trolls(which all online message boards have to deal with, anyway) incorrectly sway you to eliminate all message boards! There are great communities out there throughout all the various IMDB boards, and I feel this decision was made with too much haste, is wrong to do, and will be a decision that'll make me return to IMDB far less often. Do NOT eliminate one of my very favorite parts of this site, and please reconsider this decision!

I check the message boards after almost every single movie I watch. It's been an incredible tool for discussion. Please change your decision or I won't be a daily IMDb user.

The message boards provide me with lots of useful information and opinions, which cannot be found on any other platform. It is IMDb best feature!

I find the movie suggestions in the messageboards very helpful!

Keep message board

KEEP IT UP, THE BOARDS MAKE IMDb ! I understand the frustration with trolls but a lot of people appreciate the ability to discuss movies/shows.

We need this board open- it's good to read about movie details, opinions etc from everyday people, not just those in the industry. Please find a way to keep it open!

I've been a loyal imdb member for 12 years and have had hundreds of great discussions with many people on the boards, just give us tools to report and shut down the trolls.

Really, REALLY bad decision. You're reducing the usefulness of your site by about 70% because of what, trolls? Prepare to see your numbers fall off a cliff.
