Been a member since May 2005, and one of the reasons I joined was the message boards, this was a bit before Facebook took off, and before Reddit became big.

Member for 10 years, and used IMDb for much longer. Although they are contaminated by trolls, I still head directly to the Message Boards every time. Reviews are almost useless. All the real info is in the boards, especially for the less popular and older shows/movies/actors. You can't replace Boards specific to a show/actor with social media.

You can see how many people you are upsetting by removing the message boards. Your short sightedness is absolutely incredible. Exactly what sets IMDB apart from any other movie site if you take away the message boards? The person who made this decision obviously never uses IMDb!! Or FB or Twitter for that matter, as you seem to think there's no trolls on social media?? Your advisors need to be removed NOT the message boards!

I really like the message boards because it helps me understand challenging movies. I've seen plenty of posts I didn't like, but then I'd go to another thread. Very worthwhile.

I use the forums more than the regular IMDB. These are your boards, why turn that over to Facebook and other sour media? You may as well just shut the whole of IMDB down.

Their is No reason for the message Board to go away it is a great place to meet people fans of the film info options of film to watch or not
