I get that there are a lot of trolls. But I also enjoy many great discussions about movies and shows and actors on the message boards. It's really the only reason i go to IMDB. No more boards, no more me. And seriously....Facebook and Twitter are better options?! Not even close.

I can't believe you'd shut down a system upon which I've relied for two decades, thanks to which I've met a host of remarkable individuals whose contributions to my life have been nothing short of epic. If you really do this, I must tell you I shall delete my IMDb profile permanently, will cancel my Amazon Prime membership, and will NEVER order from Amazon again. Yes, this seems like hyperbole, but you may count on it. Keep the message boards.

What's next, our ratings or lists deleted? IMDb risks everything canceling the boards, because people will have zero confidence in the site anymore. I vote for the boards to stay.

Such a stupid and nonsense decision. Why delete an entire online community with so many close-knit friendships and so many good discussions about not just films but other things? The IMDB forums are special to a lot of people and there's no reason at all for them to be taken down. Please keep them up and running.
