I moved to the collective due to the coworking space, and there is not enough space (even Old Oak has much more work areas) and now the one conference room is being removed. This after we lost the ability to work in MTHR and the yoga pool area.
If the team wants to be closer to the action then why not add space on the ground floor. This seems more like a way to get higher management more isolation in a closed conference room at the cost of the members. If this goes through, I expect a reduction on my rent for the loss of this space.

If you make changes to the product/service you are providing, then it's only fair to let us out of our contracts, as this is NOT what we signed up for.

Unfortunately the way they’re treating us is like we are a bunch of amateurs how thinks this is “lavish” by them manipulating us for their own purposes. I personally was promised with a lot of good intentions and positive habits, please please please let’s make a group and go against them until our rights are heard and found a solution, i really don’t know why some of you are so weak and don bother to come to a solution. To be completely fair it’s not their foul that they’re treating us like this. It’s ours that accepts this. Disappointed in every aspect.

You can’t just put an announcement and claim that the assembly room is no longer available for the members, we paid for the membership fee
The pool and sauna room all that are already not being able to use and we haven’t got any reduced for the membership fee or refund, and now the assembly room is taken from you guys, this is totally unacceptable!
If we paid the membership then we have the right to vote for the usage from the team.

Are we getting a rent reduction inline with the loss of this facility that so many of us use? Thought not. No wonder it’s in administration if this is how they treat their main form of income and cash flow

This is a poor decision and one that will manifest in people moving to similar, competing residential/working accommodation such as Veritas. The Collective is unfortunately losing its community, which was its unique selling point compared to other companies. There is a need for more working space for residents, not less.

Not acceptable with an already minimal set of working desks - where’s the community when everyone is having to live and work in a box room?

A big draw for me moving to The Collective was having co-working space in the building. Since I’ve lived here, I’ve found it difficult to find a spot to work from due to the lack of space. Now that Assembly will be taken away, the problem will be much worse. What will be done to rectify this?

With the workspace being a quiet room, there is not much other space to work in an appropriate manner. It is always a struggle to even find a place to sit with many having to resort to working 8-10 hours daily on the sofas of the den. This will simply make the situation much much worse. I know I speak for a lot of us when I say that one of the major reasons I opted for the collective was so I’d have the advantage of the co-working spaces, but not until I moved it did I realise how limited they are. It’s simply unfathomable to be taking yet another space away from the tenants.

we shouldnt be paying with our rent for the space that the staff will work. Also we shouldnt be damaged as this space was sold by you guys as something we could use.

I have every sympathy with the need to provide the staff with a suitable Workspace, but is the Assembly space the right place to situate it? This impinges on the facility provision available to residents and questions whether residents voices are heard or whether we are just revenue sources to a support a struggling business?
