My cousin Thelma worked here for many years and she loved it. I also had cousins that attend this day care.

Growing up we are taught to trust and believe in the system in which we are governed by as it is there to protect us... I have witness those in “control” manipulate this system for their own good and I can no longer trust in this system.
Elretha Perkins, a Pilar and faithful servant to the community, she has been a beacon in my life since I entered into the world. A spirit so precious and pure, she is a blessing to every one she meets. The greatest days of our lives are the day we are born and the day we find out why.... my mother has been blessed to discover her why and she lives every day fulfilling the purpose God has over her life. From 1982 to today, my moms mission has solemnly been to provide a home away from home environment for children in the community while aiding in their developmental growth. With 39 years of faithful service, my mothers students have gone on to holding positions that are impacting and making a difference in the world....District Attorneys, nurses, police officers, dentist, doctors, firefighters, business owners, and the list goes on and on. It’s actually pretty remarkable to see how many of her students visit and still call her MOM to this day. Messing with Perkins Professional Day Care is like tearing down a family.
At perkins we instill the belief that everyone will and can reach their heighest potential if they listen to their hearts, put their minds to it, and simply do the work. A true inspiration and role model for all. What is being done to her is a complete disgrace and should be an embarrassed to the state of North Carolina. Keep the doors open!! Parents have to work and kids need a place to go. Eden doesnt offer anything else!

They have been in this community a long time are very well respected and have been taking care of children for many years without any complaints we love them and highly recommend them for any parent to bring their child.

I attended Perkins Professional Daycare as a child for years and always thought of Elretha as my second mother. I later began working at the facility for many years. This would be a disgrace to close down this daycare.

I went there when I was little and it’s a great place for the young children that has parents that work a job Monday through Friday 8-5. I also grained another mother when I went there, so the state needs to continue to let the daycare stay and continue open for the young children in this community.

Keep Perkins Professional DayCare. We have made so many childhood to lifetime friends here. This place is more than a daycare and it is the heart of leaksville, a support group! Keep it!
