As an owner I enjoy this lake and would prefer to continue the enjoyment without all this controversy.

I think that it is not necessary to create a no wake for the whole lake.

La bell already has good slow no wake zones and there will be no were to have bigger boats and go over the slow no wake zone speeds.

Due to the limited slow no wake area, the wake boats' wake will cause an unsafe environment to all boats that are compressed into a small area.

I completely oppose these proposed change to the regulations. The board is rushing to conclusions without a thorough, scientifically sound study.

One of the reasons we moved to Lac La Belle is so our children can waterski & jetski. Our property taxes are SO high- please don’t punish us for that!!

It’s only the wakeboarding on our shallow lake that has caused any problems , so all boating regulations need not be changed.

Please keep the current regulations on the lake. This will definitely make boating on the lake less safe with little to no justification for the changes.

I grew up on this lake, my parents have been residents for 35 years on Mary Ln. We know what is wrong and not wrong with the lake.
1. If we are talking about safety, they need to restrict the amount of boats launched on the lake during busy weekends. THERE ARE TOO MANY NON RESIDENTS WHO HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO DRIVE A BOAT AND MOST OF THE TIME THEY ARE DRINKING ALCOHOL. Especially the RENTAL boats….
2. Shoreline issues with wake boats? Nobody has shoreline issues. Where’s the proof? I have seen zero proof of shorelines being ruined by waves. Plus, waves and erosion are a natural occurrence with wind and storms too. We get bigger and more consistent waves from storms than boats!
3. Lack of fish. The issue with the fish in Lac La Belle is the amount of CARP in the lake. It has zero to do with boats, zero to do with anything other than an invasive species that has overrun the lake. Make a plan to take care of the CARP invasion!
4. Slow no wake will do nothing but take away the fun and create DANGEROUS boating situations. The people who are complaining about speed boats now, imagine putting all of those fast boaters into a 50% smaller area. DANGEROUS. Plus how many more tickets will they be handing out? This will get sticky.. fast and ruin summer fun for many.
5. Dont ruin this lake. There is nothing wrong with our current rules. The only new rules needed for the lake should be restriction of # of boats launched and a plan for the carp invasion. Maybe if someone wants to launch their boat on this lake, they must pass a LaBelle boating seasonal test first so they understand our current rules and can abide by them.

This is ridiculous and unnecessary.
