Back in the day, the people called it a funeral, Where people mourn the loss of a loved one, as time continues on for some of us fortunate enough to still be here, I believe we should learn to grow with change!!! The last I had heard was this thing called a celebration of life, not to mourn the loss of a loved one, more of celebrating the life of that person. I hope this petition does get the right people's attention and they choose to make a change. It's time to move forward, time to live in the present and get away from the past.

I am heart broken that this"board" has the nerve to even ask such a thing! That is a beautiful place for them to remember their daughter and everyone that loved Ella.

It's hard enough that a parent has to bury a child, the grave site is for mourning and rejoicing the life that once touched so many hearts. It's a memorial for those that live on. This is not obscene and represents a child's life appropriately. There is nothing traditional at any gravesite - it's about what the heart feels and memories left behind. Let it be.

It is hard enough to lose a child, but to want a family to tear down her gravesite is ridiculous! Let them have their peace & comfort with their child!

What is wrong with this world...we cant even grieve for our children they way we want? I have lost a child and when I see the people that mow the cemetery knock things down, it enrages me...please let them keep the memory alive.

I definitely feel as if, the Fuller's, and all other grave memorials be allowed at Highland Cemetery. Many individuals spend a lot of time at Highland Cemetery, making their loved one's grave memorials in remembrance of whom our loved ones were. I know for a fact, my husband spends alot of time at the cemetery, ensuring their graves look absolutely beautiful in remembrance of his loving parents. For 8 plus year's, the Denison Grave has always had landscaping, beautiful flowers, and anything that means something special to our family, so we can go out and sit and feel at peace by putting things of meaning on their graves. For Highland Cemetery, to demand all items be removed is an insult to all families; they need to put themselves in the shoes of all whom are going to be hurting due to this absurb request. I'm behind you, Fuller Family!

Nobody should tell anyone how to grieve, and what is okay and not okay. I pray that whatever happens your family finds some peace.
