Don t close Crievagh school, It epitomises all that is good about rural society in Ireland. Come and meet the children and Parents before coming to any decision. Rural schools such as Crievagh such as Crievagh are the backbone of the rural community and what keeps the community alive and together. What is the long term cost of closing Crievagh? I tell you it will be far greater than the few measly pounds that the closure of the school may or may not save in the short term. Anyone who thinks that closing a primary school such as Crievagh will enhance the education of our children or Irish society on a whole is in my opinion "MAD". Variety is the spice of life, large schools , schools with 105 pupils, and SMALL RURAL SCHOOLS , such as Crievagh , we need them all.
