I strongly object to this outrageous proposal! Cedar Fork ES provides a level of education that I trust for my child. To be made a victim to a bureaucratic decision is simply not fair. Disrupting my child's routine, his familiarity, his sense of pride and belonging is certainly not in his best interest...Psychologically young children should not be subjected to such abrupt changes at all! Children should attend school that is close to their home. It provides a shared sense of purpose among the neighborhood, common topics to talk about, and friends that last a lifetime... If we wanted other school, we would've moved ourselves to another school district... This is a rude awakening of sorts. As though we are being punished for the new developments that are mushrooming in the area. Please do not take my child's right to attend the school of his choice!

We have lived in Morrisville for 9 years paying taxes, my child is in 1st grade @ Cedar Fork..I feel like we are being punished for living in an established neighborhood right in the epicenter of our town. New developers, newcomers need to fill the new schools not rip our community apart.

Children should be allowed to attend the schools that are closest to their homes. ESPECIALLY when in elementary and middle school.
Closer schools mean less time on the bus, more classmates living nearby, and more cohesion in the neighborhoods surrounding the schools.
Please keep Savannah neighborhood assigned to Cedar Fork Elementary and Morrisville Elementary.

My daughter is in 4th grade at cedar fork elementary school. My son went to cedar fork elementary school for all years. Both kids have enjoyed their education at cedar fork elementary. Kids are asking us "why" "why" in the middle of elementary school years. They want to finish all years in the same school. Don't take away their freedom. WCPSS should not just throw the existing kids out of the school. I can understand for the kids going to KG next year, but kids who are going to Cedar Fork Elementary since KG should stay and continue along with bus service in the same school until they are finish their 5th grade or full school years. Our community is very well connected to Morrisville town hall and cedar fork elementary and we are not the new housing community. This is well established community. Our base school must stay the same. I/we signing this petition to keep the Base school the same as it is since many years.

The biggest disappointment we've experienced in moving to North Carolina is the horrible school situation that seems to get worse each year, not better. The administration should be ashamed of their track record and failure to make forward progress in the 10+ years we've been here.

We love our school (Morrisville Elementary) and would consider this change abysmal. I would NOT recommend friends or family move to Wake County with such a lack of consideration for existing families.

It is completely unfair to all of our children and families at MES to ask us to move our base school and withdraw our bus transportation if we are able to grandfather in. We chose our school due to proximity and have chosen to support our school.

We have multiple children that have been attending Morrisville Elementary for 7 years now and another entering next year. By the time we are done with elementary school, our children will be attending for 16 consecutive years. With the proposal of changing our year round option school is quite upsetting. By attending this school for so long, we kno9w so many of the teachers and look forward to them teaching our two youngest.

I bought my house in Savannah, Morrisville 3 years back because of Ceder Fork and Morrisville Elementary as our base school. My daughter is attending MES from last 2 years and I would love to get on any of these schools for my younger daughter. But I am really frustrated with Wake County's indecisiveness of maintaining the same school as our base school. This is ridiculous. We would request for NO CHANGE in our base school because we would lose transportation and the rapport we made with MES Staffs as a parent, I would have to fresh start with my younger daughter.
Please consider!!
