We are a group of students who currently attend Durham College and are striving to make a change in our curriculum to assist future students. We are looking for signatures to encourage the college to add education regarding Media Literacy to programs.

With all the information outlets we have access to with television, and the internet; many of us really don't have the necessary skills to find and analyze information. More specifically we don't carry the skills to differentiate what information is useful and credible, and what is advertisement information to fuel a biased target audience. We believe it is extremely important that students are able to acquire these skills through education to further our understanding of information in the future.
