I have been saying this for a while. Estero seems to be forming into a family area which is great. A splash pad would be a giant benefit to the families and kids in our community. It actually blows my mind we are in Florida and the only splash pad close is lakes park that is shut down since Ian for another year. I do believe the constituency is changing in the village and only growing and believe we need to have a stronger voice. There was money for a school that was shut down I’m sure the addition of such a great communal hot weather activity in a park that deserves to be utilized (and is kept up great) especially in the summer months helping families with activities while kids are out of school would be the perfect way to appropriate public funds that would benefit everyone in the Village even the Grandparents.

Lifelong, born and raised Lee county resident here! We need more fun things for our kids and grandkids to do. We’re all fat enough and have too many food options as it is! Build the splash pad!

Estero needs things for families. Lakes park has been closed, and I do not want to drive to Cape or Naples. This would be awesome as something to offer to the growing younger demographic.

As a fellow mom with 2 young children, I believe the splash pad should take priority over a food truck place. Give this towns kiddos more fun outdoor things to do.

Having a splash pad and a Estero would encourage more families to play at that park and could increase revenue for the area with families going to lunch or breakfast or running their errands on the way home in Estero
