Recess is how kids de-stress, but also, and more importantly, learn in a completely, although equally educational, way!

Play time and physical movement is imperative to good learning and good health. Our kids will spend the rest of their lives being a computer screen. Pls give them more outdoor play time now!

When looking to relocate, we look at schools and their programs and schedules as something just as important to ranking. A well rounded education needs to incorporate real world learning that is taken from classroom knowledge to outside of the classroom.

20 minute recess is a great idea so if kids are behide in a class it gives them a chance to catch up on assignments (some kids need more time then others)

My sisters kids attend the schools in Ware. I don't understand why recess is so short in your area. They barely have time to figure out teams for games or to play anything at all. Please give the kids a break. Playing is learning too!

30 minutes would be better. Recess is vital to all forms of learning. Anyone who has sat in an office for ten hours at a time, knows how much they would enjoy a break to run around, let their brain refresh and be able to focus better after the break. Cheers!

Of course kids need more than a 10 minute recess. Let them run around and get their creative juices flowing. It's a must.

Kids need to play and enjoy childhood..not just on the weekend or the small amount of time they have after school w family, and homework..

I believe all young kids 4th, 5th & 6th graders need an appropriate amount of recess time to unwind...it helps them remain focused. It's a long time to expect kids this young to remain on task...some are just incapable to do so. You need to remember, they're just kids.

I feel this is not to much to ask for. Shaving a minute here and there should be possible. The social as well as the physical aspects are beneficial.
