The current MRC conditions are deplorable. It's sad that games are being played on such a terrible surface. The kids and the community need a better facility.

Improved and expanded fields is a good idea, but I would avoid artificial turf.

Please upgrade and increase the number of decent, safe fields in Santa Fe. As an old goalkeeper, I appreciated the uniformity of artificial grass fields- i could generally trust the bounce/roll/skid or play of the ball at Salvador Perez. You can't say that about poorly maintained grass in the desert. (for best grass fields refer to Bernalillo/Santa Ana complex). And I coached Monte del Sol kids @ MRC for two years; that was dangerous, and makes it difficult for kids to play quality soccer/football.
Thanks for your time in reading this; Santa Fe is a small city with a great soccer community, with whom I am ever-connected, (often by RRunner to play @ SalPerez). More quality fields in Santa Fe is a benefit for everybody. Salud

In this town, more children and adults play soccer than any other sport. They need your support!

The MRC could be a great place to play and help to develop soccer in Santa Fe but uneven ground causes ankle injuries and horrid watering often means playing on fields with a lot of large puddles.

These fields will be a great asset to the community and are much needed. The current fields at the MRC are a hazard.

Supporting soccer in Santa Fe and an improved facility in Caja del Rio will impact positively the community at several levels. The activity brings people together, has and has a positive impact on health, and will increase community revenues by allowing to organize inter-state activities in Santa Fe

A very much needed public facility and improvement. Not to mention its attractions for the community in general. MRC fields have been in hazardous conditions for soccer players for decades. Eg I got a serious ankle injury from potholes on those fields back in the days.

These fields are currently treacherous, uneven and filled with holes and marshy spots.
