This is an urgent need. There are literally children's lives at risk. There no good reasons, no reasons at all, why a town as fortunate to be financially solid, to dodge this.

It is reprhensible that when faced with a simple challenge such as this, Mayor Martin once again refuses to rise to the occasion to solve it. If he treats this petition with the same disrespect he has treated others this year, he should be blindfolded and forced to cross the street at Strawberry Hill. After another death on his watch at this location, this student's death is blood on his hands every day he refuses to solve the problem. Based on his pattern of irresponsibility toward citizens, and unforgivable support of special interests at citizen's expense, failure to act on this matter is the last nail in the coffin of his second term. That student didn't deserve to die, and he does not deserve to be our mayor.

Please make the streets safer for children. Incidents like these should not occur when a child is aiming to succeed educationally.
