The IHSA should allow the sport of hockey to be played in high schools as a varsity level sport instead of only considering it as a club. Hockey is a way for students to get scholarships, which can help them due something amazing with their lives.But by the IHSA only recognizing the sport as a club, they are holding the students back from opportunities they could receive. Hockey needs to be recognized as a varsity sport by the IHSA! The students are being held back from potential scholarships and their hard work and dedication is going unrecognized.
