The breakdowns have been way too common until it 's quite common to make fun of SMRT all the time.

Our Minister of Transportation, Mr Khaw Boon Wan, a Penang-born ex-Malaysian, is the most excellent man to have successfully screwed up in every Ministry he's ever landed as! He has also single-handedly, made MRT to be the Most Reliable Transportation when he claimed, "Despite MORE BREAKDOWNS, it is still very RELIABLE". He has also broken the record of continuous days for the train breakdowns! The previous minister before him, can't even hold a candle to his amazing record in highest & most frequent number of train breakdowns! Ironically though, the gantry where one taps their ezlink / pass, has never once broken down, despite the trains having signal issues or no power! That is a MIRACLE! His gestures of having all the different religious leaders uniting & blessing the train stations, was actually meant to ensure the gantries never fail, or he would have lesser money earned. As for our wonderful, most courageous LEEder, thank you, Sir, for making us pay $53 million last year to you & your useless cabinet of white bandits! That amount of money would've been better off helping us, Singaporeans, which would in turn bring our country's economy up & reputation better, not as how you nor your Ministers have, by failing us & making Singapore a mockery in the eye of the world. Thank you, President Tony Tan, for being the best puppet President, by keeping mum of all the wrongs your Ministers have done, for the sake of your salary & privileges.

Testing of train during peak hours and the train break down is way too often. Keep asking us to understand for the breakdown, why not SMRT top management take train to work everyday so that you all will understand what we are going through.
