Honor Freedom of Choice & Oppose COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate at Naropa

This directly contradicts the spirit and heart of the core teachings and values Naropa. This is a massive failure of the institution to truly "embrace diversity and inclusivity" and as well compromising the recognition of the "inherent wisdom of each human being," this lack of compassion is deeply disturbing on all accounts.

“My body, my choice”... right?

This is America

My son is a Naropa student who has a right to choose whether he receives the COVID vaccine. He is a kind, thoughtful man, and for a variety of well-considered reasons, he has chosen not to. I am completely convinced that Naropa is both compassionate and creative enough to find a way to allow my son to attend classes in-person with his fellow students. To be forced to attend classes virtually would deny him all the critical opportunities that come from face to face student involvement. I believe in Naropa. I know you will figure this out.

I am a Naropa parent and I truly hope you will re-evaluate your decision to exclude unvaccinated people from campus. My son is relocating to Boulder for his second year of graduate classes and should not be segregated because of his choice not to vaccinate. It is possible to keep the Naropa community safe without mandating vaccines. I urge you to find a middle way.

We should have a say in what we choose, nothing should be forced upon anyone.

Facts about the efficacy & safety of the vaccine aside, I believe that anyone who wishes to receive it should and the flip side of the coin is just the same, especially considering the robust natural immunity that the human body is capable of producing against all viruses including covid19

Considering joining naropa next year... this is an absolute no now! How can a school that teaches health and personal empowerment try force others into choices for their bodies!

Refusing the right of students to receive a more intimate, in person education based on the autonomous choice we all have a birthright to honor is inhumane. This is the beginning of a socially indoctrinated medical apartheid and should all be afraid what our future will look like. We should be asking questions, and allowing ourselves to feel hesitant about this new, foreign batch of chemicals we are injecting into ourselves.

No medical intervention should be mandatory. There is a dark history of forcing harmful medical procedures onto people from many different marginalized locations. Everyone should have a choice about the procedures done on their bodies. I am very saddened that an institution like Naropa is going down this path. Such a dangerous precedent.

Free them .covid is the flu and was created by people as a weapon. 42 usc 2000a says public has access to all services regardless of beliefs . Open up or prepare for tort and lawsuits

I stand with my daughter! This vaccine should be by choice and not mandated

I sign this petition as a way of asking Naropa to please reconsider the mandated vaccine requirement being imposed on our students. I will be entering my first year at Naropa this fall and feel extremely saddened by the fact that Naropa is not honoring its own values by forcing a vaccine upon its student body. We do not know what this vaccine can do to each person’s body & it feels unfair to think that If one cannot get vaccinated for any reason/ doesn’t have access to them, they would be subjected to an education that is not to the same standard as what vaccinated students receive. Please reconsider this decision to force students to make such a conflicting decision. I truly believe that doing so goes against Naropa’s standards.

We are all free-willed beings in this universe, and it is a personal choice.

Please do not make students choose between attending in person school for their dreams, or making the choice that feels right for their body....

I am shocked that a place like Naropa is trying to do this.
