Laura, I'm aware of your husband's bravery in Vietnam. I'm a close friend of Bill Ashton and know he makes it a point to place a wreath on your husband's grave at Arlington every year.

If your brother was MIke Connolly, he was a close friend of mine.

God Bless. I was pals w/the Breuer family whose son was M.I.A as a pilot, for decades. His dad, who was shot down in WWII behind German lines, himself a M.I.A. & eventually rescued, didn't give up hope for a while.

This Brave U S Marine gave his life for his Marines & Country ! This Marine earned the Medal Of Honor ! Honor this Marine !!!! He earned it with his life !!!!

Tommy Noonan was a friend of mine and my Father. When he was a kid he watched my Dad play ball in PS 125 schoolyard and years later came to my rescue at Rockaway Beach. God bless you Tommy.

Thomas Noonan lost his life on the field of battle before I even existed on this little blue marble. His life, cut short in a circumstance few of us will ever encounter, and we will never know what we would do or how we would react when one’s own mortality and the life of one’s friends are in immediate danger. Thomas Noonan represents the best of the people to have ever emerged from the long history of Woodside, an honor afforded to our people by his actions on that fateful day 50 years ago. It makes one wonder what might have been if Thomas had survived the war, how much more his life in Woodside would have raised our stature inches more than he already did. This nation christens ships of war for lesser men than he, have statues erected in their honor which they did not earn, bridges renamed for no discernible reason. Has not Thomas Noonan earned his place among the great and the good?
