There should be some stipulations around this competition and who is eligible to participate, especially since they are representing actual countries. If you have no ties to the country then how can you actually represent it?

This is absolutely ridiculous. This has nothing to do will white and black but it has a lot to do with right or wrong. Because a girl from the Virgin Islands can’t go to Utah and live there for 6 months win the Ms. Universe Utah and represent Utah. They will not have it. So that loophole that, that young lady found that made her believe she could even attempt running for the Miss Universe Virgin Islands have to be corrected. I don’t even know how she could even be comfortable with the win. She doesn’t even know anything about us. She is still understood to be a tourist. WTF!!!!!

this is not about racism, but culturism. i can not go to Russia, India, Spain, Australia, or South Africa to rep them on behalf of the world. for this incident to be allowed to happen on the USVI or any other Caribbean island, territory, or country is a tragedy.

It was wrong bringing someone with no ties to the Virgin Islands to represent the Virgin Islands And to add insult to injury to talk bad about the females that they are supposed to be representing and posting pic of the female of the Virgin Islands on line talking bad about the female that crown should be taken from her as well and not allowing outsiders people with no ties to the US Virgin Islands to RUN AT ALL

We are to be represented from those who were born in the Virgin Islands ,or those who have belongers rights. The Current Ms Universe have no status and do not have the right to Represent The United States Virgin Islands...
