Once these 1000 signature goal has been met, this will be the ideal GATEWAY AND OPPORTUNITY for Virgin Islanders to really get in this GLOBAL TAKE-OVER ECONOMICAL and BUSINESS game in the pageantry arena. We HAVE very NOTABLE Virgin Islanders who are well able to form a V.I. Native ONLY CONGLOMERATE. The investors , stakeholders, and board of Trustees/Directors MUST HAVE ROOTS IN THE V.I. LOCALLY OWNED. LOCALLY BACKED. OPERATED BY HIGHLY QUALIFIED LOCALS. At the same time, this fiscal move will be putting CULTURAL PRIDE, TRADITION AND REPRESENTATION back into the hands of the PEOPLE. PLEASE don't rely on the U.S.V I government or any governmental organization-WHICH IS REALLY the U.S. GOVERNMENT- and leaves the U.S.V.I. vulnerable to being BOUGHT OUT and invaded AGAIN by colonizers in pageantry representation. #NotMyMsUSVI

This is an appalling usurping of a people's right to representation. How dare someone who is not an islander ask to represent the islands' culture, history, identity? And how dare anyone cast a vote denying islanders their right to represent themselves while supporting someone from another culture, land, history to take that role? Disgusting. Depressing. And so in line with the way peoples of the territories are treated. This is what it means to be a colony.

Fraudulent entry into the competition and the changing of the rules should not have been allowed. We demand a new show or take her out of the world competition completly. We can try again next year with someone that actually cares about the VI not a mainland reject seeking any ole crown to gain access to the world stage.

The United States Virgin Islands, is the melting pot of the Caribbean. We have every race, color, nationality and creed there. They have been there for generations, some from when we were the Danish West Indies. When we say that she is not us; it has absolutely nothing to do with her skin color. It has EVERYTHING to do with the sneaky, underhanded way, she exploited a loophole, and used our beautiful territory, in her obsession for a crown. Three different state pageants, in about as many years. She competed in THREE different state pageants...... She failed in ALL of them. Then she came to our home to compete. Show me pictures of her working in the community. Show me pictures of her with her coworkers. Show me something. We use pageantry to show off our vast and rich heritage and culture to the world. How can you represent us, and you don't even know the basics about us. Well good luck representing our "country." I am sure the "President" of the Virgin Islands wishes you well. This lady is a fraud, and her actions have put a strain on the Miss Universe brand. Have her prove her residency in the United States Virgin Islands through tax and employment records. SHE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW THAT WE ARE A TERRITORY, AND NOT A COUNTRY!!! THIS IS A DISGRACE!!! The franchise needs to be pulled, and placed in the hands of those who are truly vested in our islands!

Many young VI women could of ran for this title. Would of represented the islands with pride. They to need the chance to benefit from such events. No discrimination to the natives of the Virgin Islands
