From what I hear of the building, it is deserving of bearing Mr. Peter James Baker name on it. Mr. Baker promoted the upward mobility of all regardless of Race, Creed, Gender or Sexual Orientation. He saw the World then as it is today and Beyond.

Mr. Baker has all the qualities that would qualify him for an honor like this! In baseball they refer to a player having all the 5 tools, well Mr. Peter J. Baker has all the qualities plus some; he was such an influence on my life and I still remember the words of advice he gave me about life!

It is fitting and proper that Mr. Peter J. Baker's name be displayed on the new Fine Arts Academy building to honor his leadership in guiding our high school from segregation to integration.
