Please fix the bridge to save precious lives

The government is urged to move in quickly to fix /replace the expansion rods with all accompanying rubber seals to improve smooth ride on the bridge. As articulated in the write up, the bad state in which it is currently had claimed five precious lives already. Various efforts to bring this to the attention of the minister responsible for roads and highways including the filing of urgent questions on the issue in parliament undertaken, but there hasn't been conscious effort to address the matter.
It is for what appears government's adamant posture about all these calls including some awareness created by some citizens of the area in recent past, that is soliciting this procedure and other planned civil actions.
It is worth mentioning here however that the bridge is structurally sound in terms of foundation so no panic among its general users.
Hope government moves in fast!!

There is this old adage "A stitch in time saves nine". It is unfortunate that it has come to signing petition before the obvious thing is done. A bridge that generates revenue on daily basis to government; enhances economic activities for not only locals but for regional, national and international body, why should its maintenance be enforced.
