Petition to file class action lawsuit against Elio Motors

This car will never be built

It seem like good idea at the time. I got in about five or six years ago. My son just got the license and he is driving something else now....

I put a deposit in either 2014 or 2015. It has been so long I don't remember. The concept was great. After many production delays, it became clear this car will never be built. Since then, the company keeps claiming production soon. A couple of more years go by, no production in sight. Questionable behavior and spending by company. Clearly, they are doing a shell game. I would like my $500 back so I can use it as a deposit on a car that exists in reality and physical realm. Time for an investigation.

I have been waiting years for this car to go into production. Ends up being a total fraud! I want my deposit plus interest returned.

I'm 80 years old so I guess I will never get to drive an Elio.

I bit the Apple and dreamed the dream in 2013, but I think after this length of time that Paul is a fraud and embesseler. Bought $7,200 in stock several years ago, at $12.00, I believe, only to have Paul sell 2 plus million shares to Overstock.com for $2.00 I believe. Crooks and common thieves!

I am $1000.00 all since 2013. Feeling very foolish. How can Paul look himself in the mirror drawing $250,000.00 per year, all the donors get nothing, Cargo parish getting ripped off, the "company" goes belly up, and is still taking reservations!!!

$1000 all in...I believed in the mission and the product and they wasted years of my life. I want my money back.

As an example of how pathetic the whole Elio story has been, consider this... Right around the same time in 2009 that Paul Elio founded his company another young man named RJ Scaringe decided he wanted to build a new type of automobile too. Except RJ's ideas were far more ambitious, he set out to build the world's first fully electric pickup truck. While Elio bounced around the country with their fake roadshow, building up people's hopes and taking their money. RJ and his team were designing and innovating. While Paul Elio was making appearances on daytime TV shows, RJ was actually creating something. Fast forward to current day. Elio has nothing except a pile of dept, ripped off investors and early adopters, a town in La that is seething mad at it, and a few demo mules that barely run. RJ on the other hand lit up the LA Auto Show and others with their brilliant Rivian all electric Pickup truck and SUV. These vehicles are state of the art, incredibly innovative, will have a zero to sixty time estimated at 3 seconds! Towing capacity estimated at 5,000kg! They are taking orders and will be shipping in 2020. Elio is a complete embarrassment, and I'm bewildered how incompetent the Elio executives had to be to not even be mildly successful. Where did all the money go? Paul Elio will go down in automotive history as the most incompetent CEO of our time, and managed to rip off a mass of people who made the mistake of believing in him.

Paid $1k deposit in August 2014

I put a deposit on this car 6/2014 since then I have moved to another state and retired. Not making the money I was in 2016.
