Sad to hear of all those that are all in and didn't read the fine print.
I read it and that's why I put no money in it.
Total scam and it should be stopped. The government should not allow anymore deposits to this scam.

$1000 I feel was lost on the car and $1000 lost on stock. Should have just put it the bank. They should just sell it as a kit and get it out there

I have contacted them dozens of times with multiple promises of a delivery.
Over 4 years!!!
They have used my money. And abused my money. To this day, I still get daily emails promising a car.
The original engine is long gone. Emails are now listed as "Read our archive about blah blah blah".
I don't understand why Trump doesn't jump in. My faith was in a USA made car.

I made the $1,000 "all in" deposit and at this point, we all know that was a mistake.

I initially invested $100 when I first saw the Elio on a TV news release. After actually seeing the prototype and "new" motor in Raleigh, NC I changed my reservation to a $1000 "All In". Since then I have waited through numerous delays and as many reasons/excuses. On Sunday, 8/11/19, I sent a request for info to the Elio email account, got a quick "canned" response back that may email was received and should hear back from a "person" within 24 hours or so. After 2 days I sent the inquiry again, same canned response. The next day I sent it again and did get a response. I told them that in April/May of 2018 Paul Elio made a public announcement that production of the Elio would start in 76 weeks. That put the date range somewhere around Oct/Nov of 2019. My inquiry was just that; is the Elio going into production at this time. The response was basically what has been said over the years " as soon as we complete current and subsequent funding production will begin". In other words, NO, the Elio is not going into production this fall.

Only lost $100. More pissed they never made this car. It looked like a really cool design. I could build one very similar from the ground up in under a year, I own a auto repair shop...

I have been waiting since 2015 after investing $1,000 to get $1,500 towards a car that had a release date later that year. Then it was pushed back to 2016, then 2017, then I don't know what happened but now it's indefinite and Elio Motors is saying "Hello David,
The production date is estimated to be 76 weeks from the timely and successful completion of our current and subsequent fundraising efforts. The timing and availability of the funds can move and we will do everything we can to keep the project moving forward by utilizing each piece of funding received, as we receive it. Thank you for your support."
I do not support them anymore and I just want my money back because it was for a reservation that had a production date. Now after five years I don't even have an estimated production date.

I have been eating since 2013 . I want what was promised the vehicle or my deposit returned. If I knew the company was going to keep pushing back the delivery date I would never went with their offer. No one likes to be scared or given false info. If it takes a class action law suit to get our car or money back sign me up.

Elio told me 3 years ago that if they did not produce the vehicle, they would refund the $3k All In money I put down for 3 Elios. Now they say they will not refund my money. Scam

In good faith I made a $1000 deposit to Elio to reserve my Elio. It was promised that Elio would go into production by 2016 but failed to meet their comment, It appears that Elio will not meet their commitment therefore I request to be included in the class action law.

I have money deposited, and would appreciate my money back, as they have NO intention of actually building it, and are also financially incapable of building it!
