I am a $1000 all in, plus bought $6000 in stock. I understand the risk involved in losing this. However, my problem is that they have apparently quit. No advertising, no tours to the shows anymore, and I haven't received any updates in several years. My deposit was done in 2013, if I remember correctly. The other complaint, the fund raising from the stock was to produce 21 vehicles for several small fleets. That was never done, no idea where that money went. They also spent a fortune trying to build their own engine, then decided it would not be used, because it was too expensive. Looks like an awful lot of mismanagement to me. All the while Mr. Elio is drawing his very large salary. Seems it should at least be looked into a bit.

Elio Motors offered a $500 incentive to upgrade reservations to all in by a certain date. I E-mailed the company and asked when they intended to start production and if it would be available with an automatic transmission. I further explained in that E-mail that I had suffered a stroke and that I could no longer drive my standard transmission truck. Elio Motors returned my E-mail an assured me that if I went all in I would get my Elio with an Auto transmission in September 2014. I bit. on July 28, 2014 10:30:32 AM EDT I added $900 via charge card to the $100 place in line reservation that I already had. A few days later Elio Motors announced a delay. I was a fool! I believed the E-mail. I trusted the company Email that assured me that I would have my Elio In September 2014 and they would be happy to have me pick it up at their Shreveport plant. Nice folks at Elio Motors, knowingly misleading a disabled man to defraud him of his money.

Finally lost hope like a lot of other people. Not sure if it was a scam, but the Elio website is still up advertising discounted reservations which is wrong of them to do. That site should be taken down. I have an all-in $1,000 reservation plus $600 stock purchase (50 shares for $12 each) from the IPO. Disappointed does not even begin to cover it.

In addition to placing $1000 as a deposit, I was really stupid and bought 1000 shares of stock @ $11.00 a share, and they sold new "re-issued" stock for $2.75 (4/24/18) and the stock I have is now (10/15/19) valued at $.92. Thanks Paul Elio.

Been in since 2013. Time for them to produce a car or return the money. Thinking about getting the State Attorney General involved
